Family agreements

  • Division of marital property

Attention! The agreement on the division of jointly acquired property may be executed both by couples in a registered marriage and by couples living together as a family without marriage registration. The property division agreement is concluded extrajudicially and requires mutual consent on the distribution of the acquired property. In the absence of such mutual consent, the division of jointly acquired property is carried out by the couple through the court.

COST: from UAH 9,000, depending on the number of property units, type of property, and the number of mandatory state registrations in the State Register of Real Property Rights (DRRP) resulting from the property division agreement

  • Marriage contracts
  • Documents to be submitted to the notary (ORIGINALS ONLY):
    • passports and tax identification codes of the spouses (or future spouses)
    • marriage certificate or application to the civil registry office for marriage registration

COST: from UAH 9,000.

Attention! Considering the established court practice regarding marital property, the marriage contract is concluded by the spouses concerning property to be acquired in the future! For property already acquired by the spouses/couple during their cohabitation period, a property division agreement is concluded (see section on division of marital property).
